On the morning of September 19, 2020, Prince Albert II, accompanied by Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, took part, in the alleys of Monaco-ville, in the 2nd edition of the World Clean Up Day. The World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global solid waste problem, including the problem of marine debris.
The event is organized under the initiative of Sébastien Uscher (Stand Up for the Planet Association) in partnership with the Monaco Town Hall (Mairie de Monaco), Décathlon Monaco, Mission for Energy Transition, SMA and the ECO Angel. It aims to collect waste and raise public awareness. Four clean-up actions were carried out in several municipalities of the Principality, which made it possible to collect 210 kilos of waste.
