| The Countess of Wessex visited Mumbai on the 3rd day of her 5 day visit to India. The Countess firstly visited Sassoon Dock fish market together with Ashok Shankar Rathod, the founder of OSCAR Foundation. Many of the families of young boys and girls supported by OSCAR Foundation work at that market in very challenging circumstances. The foundation is working to give them better opportunities. Afterwards, The Countess of Wessex met with 2018 Queens Young Leaders Award winners Deane and Aditya at Sir Elly Kadoorie School in Mumbai to see how they are working to transform women's health across India, and met girls and their mothers who have benefited from Deane’s organisation. |
