On the fifth and last day of their official visit to India, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia continued to make visits relating to environmental protection and biodiversity. The King and Queen visited Van Gujjar village in Jim Corbett National Park to discuss and learn about the group's traditional farming and animal husbandry. The King and Queen met with representatives of the Van Gujjar community, a former nomadic forest tribe. It is the only Muslim forest dwelling community in the country. |
