| On June 12, 2019, The Duchess of Cambridge attended the first annual gala dinner in honour of Addiction Awareness Week at the Spring restaurant at London’s Somerset House. Action on Addiction is a UK-based charity that works with people affected by drug and alcohol addiction. It works in the areas of research, prevention, treatment, aftercare, as well as professional education and family support. The Duchess of Cambridge has been patron since January 2012.
