| Yesterday, on June 15, 2019, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended events held on the occasion of Dannebrog's (Danish national flag) 800th anniversary. Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended a celebratory service at Copenhagen Cathedral and then attended the anniversary celebrations held at Copenhagen City Hall Square. According to a popular legend, the red-and-white cross fell from the sky as a sign of support from God during the battle of Lindanise in Tallinn on June 15, 1219 and secured the Danes a hard victory.
