Tony Leung to sing theme song for movie ‘See You Tomorrow’

(Toggle) Hong Kong actress Carina Lau disclosed at an opening event for a watch brand that her husband, Tony Leung, will be singing the theme song for movie See You Tomorrow. Tony, who last sang for theme song of Chinese movie Hero, in 2002 is apparently finally “opening his golden mouth”, according to Carina.

Carina also disclosed that during the recording session for the soundtrack, Tony has enlisted the help of ‘God of songs’, Eason Chan and one of Hong Kong’s ‘Four Heavenly Kings’, Jacky Cheung. According to Carina, who teased her husband for being a “big shot”, Eason recorded a demo version of the song for Tony while Jacky would give him vocal lessons.

The actress also shared that Tony “have not been singing for many years, so he felt very nervous, feeling unconfident of himself, but now that there are two ‘God of songs’ with him, [he] should feel a lot better”.

When asked if Tony sings love songs to her at home, she replied: “He usually practices singing at home, he sings with a lot of emotions, but he still goes off-pitch sometimes.

“But I still love to hear him sing,” she said.

See You Tomorrow, directed by Chinese Director Zhang Jia Jia, will be starring Tony, Angelababy, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Eason.

See You Tomorrow opens in theatres December 23
