Japanese Princess Kako arrived in Lima, the capital of Peru for an official visit made on the occasion of 150 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. On November 3, 2023, Princess Kako attended an event at the Japanese Cultural Center in Lima in celebration of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Peru.

Princess Kako will spend six days in the South American country. The Princess will lead a ceremony to celebrate the start of bilateral relations in 1873, when both countries signed a treaty of friendship, commerce and navigation.
