Friday 10 June was Princess Madeleine's 40th birthday. Princess Madeleine was born at Drottningholm Palace on 10 June 1982, and is the third child of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia. Princess Madeleine has lived with her family in the United States in recent years. Because she lives abroad, the Princess' public programme is limited. In the United States, the Princess continues to be involved in the work of the World Childhood Foundation and has been the organization's Vice Honorary Chair since December 2021.
