On December 14, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako attended the opening ceremony of GEA 2020 (Global Environmental Action) International Conference held at the Capitol Hotel in Tokyo. The conference will be held through Tuesday. Experts will discuss issues such as the promotion of renewable energies and measures to deal with marine plastic waste. The Global Environmental Action International Conference is held once about every two years in the Japanese capital.
