Belgian Crown Princess Elisabeth turned 19 today. Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant is the eldest of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde’s four children. As the first-born child, Princess Elisabeth is first in line of succession to the throne. Crown Princess Elisabeth, the future Queen, is a a first-year student at the Royal Military Academy this year. When the Crown Princess becomes the Queen, she will be head of the Belgian armed forces, and this training is a preparation for that role. Happy 19th birthday to you, the Crown Princess.
