In 2020, Ghent and Flanders are honouring their great Flemish Master, with a theme year in the city, a new visitors centre for the Ghent Altarpiece, and a large-scale touristic Flemish Masters programme. Jan van Eyck once lived in Ghent, where his magnum opus (Het Lam Gods' Altarpiece) still adorns the St. Bavo's Cathedral.
