This Wednesday, on May 27, 2020, a 10-day official mourning began in Spain to commemorate almost 30,000 deaths in the country caused by the coronavirus. The mourning period began when all flags on public buildings were lowered to half-mast. King Felipe, Queen Letizia and their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia observed a minute's silence for victims of the coronavirus this Wednesday morning.
