Danish Queen Margrethe's speech for the New Year 2020

Queen Margrethe of Denmark gave her New Year speech at Christian IX’s Mansion at Amalienborg Palace. The Queen addressed many topics in her speech: climate change, loneliness, second world war, Schleswig-Holstein, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, soldiers and other civil servants, and her family. There are three tupilaks on the table, which the Queen has personally received on various occasions. Tupilak means "The Ancestor's Soul" and is a small Greenlandic figure, formed in materials such as wood, bones, teeth and antlers from reindeer. ( Full speech : Kongehuset)
