| On November 4, 2019, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden held a diplomatic reception for newly appointed ambassadors from Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Greece, Lithuania, Germany, The United Arab Emirates, Argentina and Angola. A few times in a year, a reception is held at the Royal Palace for newly appointed ambassadors and their spouses in order to give them the opportunity to meet with the King and Queen.
