| On November 4, 2019 Queen Maxima of the Netherlands presented 2019 Prince Bernhard Culture Fund Prize to Dutch Mill Association (Vereniging de Hollandsche Molen) in a ceremony held at Amsterdam IJ Music Building. Dutch Princess Beatrix also attended the award ceremony. Since 1923, the Dutch Mill Association has worked for the conservation and preservation of windmills and watermills in the Netherlands with the aim of maintaining them in working order. There are about 1.050 wind- and 150 watermills in the Netherlands. |
