| On September 30, 2019, The Duchess of Sussex visited Victoria Yards where she met with local artists and community groups in Johannesburg, South Africa. Among the businesses the Duchess visited was Tshepo Jeanmaker, a company started by a designer from Soweto which makes custom-made jeans and now employes 10 people. Victoria Yards in Lorentzville is described as an urban village-environment for crafters and artists to work, collaborate and exhibit.
