| On August 1, 2019, Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and Princess Aiko traveled to Shimoda, Shizuoka Prefecture to spend their summer holiday at Suzaki Imperial Villa. About 250 people welcomed the imperial family at Shimoda Station. The royals greeted well-wishers for about 30 minutes.
