On the second day of their State visit to Germany, Belgian King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited Lutherstadt Wittenberg city in Sachsen-Anhalt state. Lutherstadt Wittenberg is a Protestant place of pilgrimage and is regarded as the cradle or the birthplace of the Protestant Reformation. There, they were received by Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff. The King and Queen also visited Bauhaus Institute in Dessau. The King and Queen then visited DOMO Chemicals company. DOMO is a Belgian textile manufacturing group. (Queen Mathilde wore a new floral-print silk chiffon midi dress by Giambattista Valli. Princess Caroline had worn the same dress on May 8th, 2019.) |
