| On May 13, two presentations for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Awards Presentations were held at Buckingham Palace. The Earl and Countess of Wessex and The Duke of Gloucester attended morning presentations. The Princess Royal and Princess Beatrice joined the Earl of Wessex for the second presentation in the afternoon. Founded by The Duke of Edinburgh, in 1956, The DofE is the world's leading youth achievement award that develops over 400,000 young people for life and work every year in the UK.
