King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia's visit to Ireland, 1st day

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden are currently making a three day State visit to Ireland on May 22-24 upon the invitation of President Michael D Higgins. The King and The Queen of Sweden arrived in Dublin yesterday and were welcomed by President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina Coyne. Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf visited the Croke Park GAA Stadium in Dublin. The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) is Ireland’s the largest sporting organisation. In the evening, the King and the Queen attended a dinner at Aras an Uachtarain, hosted by President of Ireland.
