| On April 28, late Grand Duke Jean's coffin was transferred from Berg Castle to Grand Ducal Palace. People will be able to visit to pay their final respects to the former head of state over the next five days. A state funeral will be held on May 4 at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City and Grand Duke Jean will then be laid to rest at the cathedral crypt alongside his late wife, the Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte. Grand Duke Jean, who served as head of state for 36 years, died at the age of 98 on Tuesday. |
