The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Dundee

On January 29, 2019, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Dundee to officially open V&A Dundee. The Duchess of Cambridge gave a short speech celebrating the addition of this major new cultural centre for Scotland and the UK, in her role as Patron of V&A. Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess greeted members of the public on the waterfront. The Duke and Duchess then met with workers from the Dundee Michelin factory and attended a meeting of the Michelin Action Group which works to repurpose the site and ensure new employment opportunities for the local area.
