The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended WellChild 2018 award ceremony

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended WellChild 2018 award ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel located in the center of London. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated the courage shown by seriously ill young people at the annual WellChild Awards. Prince Harry and Meghan met with children, parents, carers and celebrity supporters. Since 2007, the Duke of Sussex has been the patron of WellChild which is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a pre-ceremony reception and met with the young winners of each award category and their families, and the nominated healthcare professionals. Among the winners of this year's awards, there is seven-year-old Matilda Booth who is from Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire, has spina bifida and is paralysed from the chest down and has had more than 40 operations.
