| On September 5, 2018, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visited the newly refurbished Maiden Yacht, famously used by the first all-female crew to sail in the Whitbread Round the World Race. Also in attendance was Princess Haya of Jordan, who helped finance the refurbishment. Princess Haya has aided the refurbishment of the iconic yacht, which will fundraise for the Maiden Factor Foundation to promote the education of girls around the world. In a new project the princess is supporting a three year tour around the world. |
