| On August 15, 2018, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie visited Hærens Sergent School (Hærens Sergentskole) in Varde to mark the 30th anniversary of the Prince's graduation from the school. According to the needs of the army, Hærens Sergent School educates commanders who suit basic values and performs basic military training for officers. Prince Nikolai started his two-year education in the Royal Danish Army’s Sergeant School on August 2. The normal military training in Denmark lasts for one year. However, the two-year long education the Prince is in for is voluntary. |
