| On August 15, 2018, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden visited Älvdalen region affected by forest fires last month and the fire brigade. On July 12, forest fires started in various locations and military training areas in Älvdalen district and the fires were brought under control with extinguishing efforts that lasted for 15 days. During the forest fires, a forest area of 13 thousand hectares was burnt. |
