Morning ladies I'm looking at denim jackets today - the perfect throw on for teaming with a summer dress if the weather isn't playing ball or if you're out & about & waiting for the sun to heat up.
I must admit whilst I don't necessarily feel a denim jacket is me (much happier in a blazer) they are really useful & if you get one that fits you well then it really is worth having for those occasions where you need an extra layer as it will allow you to get more wear out of your summer dresses. Personally I find the more fitted the better & the happier I am wearing one.
So to help you find the right jacket for you, I've put together my top ten picks from the high street. Starting with a traditional denim jacket in a gorgeous shade of denim that is similar in style to the one I own.
Of course there's lots of the traditional style of denim jacket on the high street with variations on colour, fit & length but as you've probably gathered by now I love clothing that has that little bit extra detailing. So if a traditional denim jacket isn't for you, you might like something with a little more style & character. Starting with the above biker styled denim jacket.
Or how about this studded round neck version, which looks fab teamed with a breton & darker denim jeans.
Or for something with even more 'wow' factor then the above jacket & also the one below have some serious sleeve detailing.
However, if you love a military jacket like myself, then this one above could be more to your liking.
Or if you've not scratched that khaki shacket itch then the above soft green military styled denim jacket could tick both boxes.
However, if you love a tailored blazer like I do, then you'll love the above double breasted jacket made from denim fabric. This would look great with a breton/pretty white top, boyfriend jeans & trainers as much as it would paired with cropped cigarette pants for the office. I'm seriously tempted to investigate this one more, especially as there's matching trousers!
Or if the double breasted jacket is to formal but you're looking for something a little less standard denim jacket then how above the above kimono style.
And finally of course you've got your oversized denim jacket, which looks great in this washed black denim version.
Back to today & I'm teaming my gold metallic pleated maxi skirt with some broderie anglaise.
