Morning ladies, for this month's House of Fraser post I thought it would be fun to take one skirt & one pair of trousers & show you six different ways of styling each item.
So let's get cracking & start with the skirt. I've chosen this stunning maxi tiered skirt that is the most glorious colour that would be perfect for taking on holiday & would compliment a tan beautifully.
I love dressing a maxi skirt up & down & teaming with flats as well as heels. The first look would be perfect for going out for dinner at home or holiday. With the second look ideal for travelling or for wearing once home. Then for cooler days a loose fit jumper such as the above navy scoop neck is ideal. You could also throw on a leather biker jacket or even pair with trainers if it's cooler or wet weather.
Moving onto white tops next & no doubt you, like me have a few in your wardrobe, which would be perfect for creating several different looks with a maxi skirt or two. From a loose fit boho top tucked in & styled with a belt, to an off the shoulder look for the perfect summer attire, to dressing it up with a halterneck top.
Moving onto my outfit suggestions for trousers next & it was love at first sight as soon as I spotted this cropped neutral pair. Cropped, which has to be one of my favourite lengths & with the addition of button detailing that elevates them to something a little bit different. What's not to love.
Needless to say this kind of trouser is always going to prove to be a hard working, multi-tasking addition. From pairing with a timeless stripe shirt & navy blazer, to heels & a statement boucle jacket to a simple breton & tan accessories you just can't go wrong.
Then of course you can dress them more casually with a sweatshirt & trainers, or style them up for an evening out with heels & simple elegant top, finishing with a statement clutch & finally how about a splash of colour. Like I say an incredibly versatile item that would soon earn it's keep.
Back to today & I wanted to show you a new lightweight summer slogan knit that's perfect for simply throwing on & going, plus come winter ideal for layering with a thermal, making it a great versatile piece that can be worn all year round. I love how the neutral colours are brought to life with a pop of red, which will fit in perfectly with my wardrobe. In terms of sizing I'm wearing an 8, which is true to size although if you prefer a looser fit it might well be worth considering going up a size.

So ladies any other ideas on how you'd style the maxi skirt or cropped trousers? I'd love to hear if there's another way you'd wear them.
Have a great day & as always I'll be back in the morning.
