| Spanish royal family, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, former King Juan Carlos, former Queen Sofia, Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina attended memorial event for 25th anniversary of death of "Infante Juan of Spain, Count of Barcelona", held at El Escorial Monastery. Infante Juan of Spain, Count of Barcelona is the father of King Juan Carlos. Infante Juan, Count of Barcelona died of laryngeal cancer in Pamplona, Spain on April 1, 1993. He was buried in the Royal Crypt of the Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial. |
