The concert was his first in Australia since he tied the knot with Taiwanese model-actress Hannah Quinlivan, who is born of Australian descent, in 2015.
“(I told myself that) I must hold a show in Australia for my world concert tour, as this is where Hannah’s home is. It feels like I’m coming home,” the 39-year-old singer shared in an interview before the show.
For the concert, Jay, Hannah and their two children, 2-year-old Hathaway and 8-month-old Romeo, flew to Australia together, and Jay reportedly hired a filming crew to document the process.
The singer shared his plans to release behind-the-scenes footage of the concert sometime at the end of the year, which will include “magic demonstrations and daily vlogs”.
He further unveiled plans to release one new song every three months, instead of his usual annual album release, so that he can stay connected with fans more frequently.
Jay, who made his debut in Hollywood with The Green Hornet in 2011, and also featured in 2016 thriller film Now You See Me 2, expressed his hopes to act in another Hollywood movie.
“I want to work on my English speaking skills,” the singer shared. “Acting in a Hollywood movie will improve my speaking capabilities, and may even let me gain more international fans.”
The singer is currently on his world tour, The Invincible World Tour 2, which is the second leg of his tour after his widely successful The Invincible World Tour in 2016.
