(Toggle) Taiwanese singer Ella Chen’s new single Finally In Love, made for upcoming Chinese movie Dude’s Manual, was officially released yesterday (Apr 12).
The song is a collaboration between two big names in the Taiwanese music scene, Taiwanese composer JerryC, who also worked on the theme song ‘A Little Happiness’ for hit Taiwanese romance film Our Times, as well as lyricist Wu Yi Wei, who wrote the lyrics to local singer Stefanie Sun’s latest song, ‘A Dancing Van Gogh’.
In the song, Ella tells the story of how she met and fell in love with her husband, Malaysian husband Alvin Lai. She shared that they were already acquaintances, but got together after a chance encounter.
“He made me realise that I am deserving of love,” the 36-year-old singer expressed. “There was no need for me to change the way I am just for the person I love, because I married love.”
Ella married Alvin in 2012 and often expresses her love for her husband on social media. The couple welcomed their son Daniel, nicknamed “Strong Baby” in April last year.
As Ella had to work on Daniel’s actual birthday, the family held an advance birthday celebration for the 1-year-old in their home, and invited close friends and family to celebrate the occasion together.
“Time really flies. Daniel is growing up so fast!” she mused.
