Morning ladies so before I share what I'm wearing I wanted to talk counting down to Christmas. As much as we're all probably in denial at just how close the big day is, like it or not it's getting to that time of year when we need to start making lists & generally becoming Santa's little helpers.
Now I don't know about you but up until this year one tradition I've yet to start is the adult beauty advent calendar, something which a lot more brands are getting into & sell out faster than you can say 'Merry Christmas'. If you're anything like me & a big kid at heart you'll love the idea of treating yourself to one of these, especially if there's the added bonus of a new beauty product to try that fingers crossed will help you look your best come the festive season.
I've been lucky enough to have been sent the above one from Beauty Expert & it really is amazing value for money as it costs just £100 but has a worth of £350! Plus if you read my review of CULT51 here, you'll know I'm a big fan & if you were thinking of giving it a whirl the calendar is £30 cheaper than just buying the face cream, plus of course you've got another 11 full sized products as well, so brilliant value.
So what's included in the advent calendar? Well there's the CULT51 Night Cream as I've already mentioned, plus Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream, Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid an exfoliating fluid fortified with salicylic acid to help renew skin & minimise pores, Balance Me Instant Lift Primer to lift & refine skin, Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil to help restore balance & improve the skin's appearance, Korres Almond Cherry Shower Gel, Gatineau Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm which is formulated with Alguronic Acid to revive tired weary eyes, Eve Lom Kiss Mix Colour in Demure, Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist to refresh & revitalise your skin & spirits, Filorga Nutri-Filler Lips a multi-tasking balm oil that nourishes, repairs & plumps your lips & finally Skimono Advanced Moisturisation+ Mask. The only negative, is that this like all other advent calendars isn't going to be around for long so if you're tempted get 'clicking that button' here before it sells out!
And if the calendar above isn't enough temptation then have a look of my edit of the best advent calendar's around this year, with something for everyone's budget with the cheapest one starting at £12.50. As always just click on any of the images for further information. I'm thinking that I 'might' just have to treat myself to a second 12 day version & that way I've got a full 24 days of advent, although I'm just not sure how I'll explain this logic to the hubby ;-)
Onto what I'm wearing & today I'm featuring my second choice from People Tree, this stunning thick cotton jersey breton dress.
Biker Jacket - Massimo Dutti
Dress - People Tree
Boots - Zara

Biker Jacket - Marks & Spencer
Dress - People Tree
Boots - Office
Naturally as soon as I spotted the dress & the fact it had ruffles & stripes it was a no brainer. The only question was the colour I picked or this one. In terms of fit it's pretty true to size as I'm wearing a UK 8 but if you want more of a looser fit then consider sizing up. The finish & quality of the fabric is spot on.
Right time to get on with the day. Enjoy your day ladies & don't forget to take a peek at People Tree's full collection here. Also I'd love to hear your thoughts on advent calendars, is this a new tradition you're firmly on board with & if so which is your favourite?
See you in the morning.
