Morning ladies today I thought we'd look at a wardrobe 'must have' for this time of year & that's something we've all either already worn this season or will soon be bringing out & that's our winter coats.
No matter how much we'd no doubt love not to wear one, over the coming months they will soon become a daily necessity & just to make wearing them that little bit easier there's some gorgeous styles & trends coming through this season. From checks that are perfect for creating a tailored corporate look to adding a splash of colour with statement red, or a personal favourite the military trend there's definitely something to suit everyone's tastes this season.
I was recently approached by Debenhams to see if I'd be interested in sharing my favourite picks from their collection this season & naturally always one to love a virtual shop I didn't hesitate in saying yes.
So for anyone looking to invest in a new coat this winter here are my top picks.
Debenhams also challenged me to style one of my picks so I decided to go with a style that I'd be lost without & that's the Biker Jacket. One of my many jackets that I wear all year round, even in the depths of winter. Layered with some cashmere, a thermal & a thick oversized scarf it's definitely my 'go to' jacket that can so easily be styled up or down. Goes with most things & of course can be layered to see you through the winter.
Seeing as I already own a black & navy biker I thought adding a pop of colour with this stunning dark red biker. A great way of injecting some colour into a wardrobe full of neutrals plus due to it's detachable faux fur collar it's really versatile to.
As you can see from the below image the jacket is a stunning deep wine/claret red with a cosy detachable faux fur collar that would be ideal for helping to keep you warm on those cold winter mornings.

And should you fancy a change it looks just as stylish without the faux fur collar, which is easy to remove as it is simply buttoned on, with enough buttons to ensure that it stays in place when worn & due to the elasticated button loops the buttons are well hidden when the collar is removed. Plus there is additional detailing to the jacket with some quilted detailing & additional zips on the sleeves.
In terms of sizing the jacket is pretty true to size, I'm wearing a UK8 in the pictures but should you be looking to wear an extra thick chunky sweater underneath you may want to consider ordering one size larger.

I must admit I found packing for this trip a lot harder than when we go to Majorca, as firstly I've never visited Dubai before & secondly I wanted to make sure my outfits were appropriate. Having read lots online about what can & can't be worn I think you can pretty much wear most things just as long as it's not too short or low & of course this will depend on where you are visiting. I also packed a couple of pashminas to throw over my shoulders if needed.
Right I'm off to enjoy that sunshine. Have a fab day ladies, don't forget you can see my actual outfits over on my Instagram account & Facebook page.
In the meantime I'd love to hear what style is your favourite 'go to' winter coat & in case you're looking for some AW17 inspiration then take a peek here.
See you in the morning.
