(Toggle) Fans got a glimpse of Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen’s 34th birthday celebration with her husband Chen Xiao yesterday when the Chinese actor took to Weibo to post a photo of the pair playing a children’s game, captioning it, “Happy birthday, my wife!”.
In this game, two players will have to place their faces on chin rests, and attempt to give their partner a face full of whipped cream by repeatedly hitting a button that will move the cream-filled paddle over to their opponent’s face.
In Chen Xiao’s photo, the duo had yet to start their game, with Michelle gazing determinedly at the paddle, while the actor hams it up by pouting. Fans immediately started leaving comments predicting who will win the game, with a majority of them picking the birthday girl.
Later that day, Michelle answered everyone’s queries by uploading another picture of the couple playing the game together. This time, the paddle was clearly about to hit Chen Xiao in the face, leaving no questions as to who the final winner was.
The 34-year-old wrote, “The husband must always allow his wife a three second headstart,” implying that Chen Xiao had gone easy on her.
Apart from Chen Xiao, Michelle’s good friend, Taiwanese actress-singer Rainie Yang also took to Weibo to wish her Why Why Love co-star a happy birthday.
“My darling whom I love very, very much ~, wishing you happiness and bliss, and for Little Star (the couple’s son) to grow up healthily! Happy birthday,” Rainie wrote, uploading a picture of the good friends together.
A while later, Michelle replied to Rainie’s post, writing, “I’ve received my darling’s well-wishes, even though my face looks very round [in the picture],” only for Rainie to comment immediately, “Darling, are you blind? How is this round?”
Michelle tied the knot with Chen Xiao, after dating for seven months, in July last year, on the actor’s birthday and announced that she was three months pregnant. The pair first met while filming Chinese drama The Romance of the Condor Heroes in 2014. They welcomed their first child, a son nicknamed “Little Star” in December last year.
