(Toggle) Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu made an appearance at a promotional event, where she recounted what happened when she suffered a fainting spell recently.
The mother-of-two revealed that after she fainted, she could feel her husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei shaking her, and yelling, “Honey! What happened to you! Honey! Speak to me!”
At that time however, Barbie was so weak, she could only muster up the strength to say, “I’m going to vomit soon,” so that Xiaofei would stop shaking her.
When Barbie regained consciousness, she found herself in the hospital, with a teary-eyed Xiaofei beside her and holding her hands tightly. He also insisted that Barbie did a full body check-up and would constantly remind her to take her supplements everyday once they returned home.
Barbie, who was looking well after her fainting episode, reassured the media that she was “feeling better.”
The 40-year-old also gave everyone an update on how her firstborn, Wang Xiyue, 2, is coping with the arrival of her baby brother, nine-month-old Wang Xilin, at the event.
Barbie revealed that she treats both children equally, even forbidding her friends and relatives from making too much of a fuss over Xilin when they come over. However, she did admit that her mother-in-law tends to favour Xilin, while Xiyue has Xiaofei wrapped around her little finger.
“Once, Xiaofei was supposed to fly to Beijing to discuss business matters with a French customer.
But, Xiyue kicked up a big fuss and started crying, as she didn’t want him to leave. In the end, he acceded to her demands,” Barbie exclaimed.
Barbie also devised a plan to help the two kids get along better, as she spotted Xiyue purposely placing things beside her brother’s head, in the hopes that it’ll fall and hit him.
“Every day, I’ll pass something to Xiyue, telling her that it was a gift from her younger brother. Xilin is also a very cheerful baby, so every time we ask him to find his sister, he’d look at Xiyue while smiling, softening Xiyue’s heart”.
Barbie tied the knot with Wang Xiaofei in 2011 before giving birth to her daughter in 2014 and her son last year.
