(China Plus) Australian actor and producer Hugh Jackman is in Beijing to promote his latest film 'Logan,' the last in the superhero "Wolverine" franchise.
Jackman, who recently revealed that he's undergoing treatment for skin cancer, arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for the local premier.
He gave an emotional explanation of the relationship between the lead roles in the upcoming movie.
"This movie is really about family, about this father-son relationship; taking care of someone he deeply respects and loves.” Said Jackman, “And also suddenly an 11-year old girl, maybe his daughter, may not be his. He's no idea who she is. But she comes into his life, looking for protection and guidance, and ultimately looking for love as well. And I think that's what makes this movie so special, yes, there are three superheroes. But more importantly, they are a real family, real human beings with real feelings."
The movie Logan sees Wolverine reunited with his ailing father figure Professor X, played by Patrick Stewart and introduced to Laura, the mutant daughter created in a Mexican lab.
"Logan" is scheduled to hit Chinese cinemas on March 3, the same day as its United States release.
To mainstream audiences, Jackman is best known for the role of Wolverine in the 2000 American film X-Men.
