This is the Legaspi underpass.
On New Year's Eve sister and I went to the Ayala Triangle because I know for sure there is a Christmas lights show there. I will post my video and pictures another time as it takes so much time to upload videos. In order to get there, one has to go through the underpass crossing Ayala Avenue. There are 2 underpasses in this area of Ayala Avenue and these are the Legazpi underpass and the Makati Avenue (corner Ayala Avenue) underpass.
I really liked that they have upgraded the underpasses with some mural art. I read that this was a city project which was launched with the help of some corporate sponsors. They were able to commission a few artists to paint the murals. Most of these paintings have themes which are advertising in nature. I personally have not seen the underpasses with product advertising themes because the ones I saw were the Legazpi and Makati Avenue underpasses which seem to have random art subject matter painted on them.
It is also very interesting to see that there are many underpasses now in Makati. In my time there was I think only 1, which is the Makati Avenue underpass corner Ayala Avenue.
Well Makati City keep it up! The mural art on the ceilings are not only giving a smile on the faces of everyone passing here, but it also makes the passage bright and colourful, and somehow gives a sense of safety.
Tip: The Legazpi underpass and Makati Avenue underpass are just beside each other on Ayala Avenue. Landmarks are Peninsula Hotel, Ayala Triangle, BDO Ayala.
Haha, she is taking a photo of me as well =)
These are in the Makati Avenue corner Ayala Avenue underpass.
