Henry Lee lends support to 'Evil Minds' film

The world's foremost forensic scientist Henry Lee appeared on stage at a press conference in Beijing on Saturday to promote "Evil Minds: City Light," a movie adaptation of a bestselling crime novel series.
"They let me read the movie script, and I love the story, which is great and touches people's hearts, so I came here to lend my support," Henry Lee said, who worked in the O.J. Simpson and Laci Peterson cases as well as in the post-9/11 forensic investigation.
Lee also interacted with actors on stage – including Deng Chao, Cecilia Liu, Ethan Juan, Karena Lam and the film's writer Lei Mi, who has a cameo in the film – in several detective games at the press conference.
"Evil Minds: City Light," based on the final volume of the novel series, will be directed by Xu Jizhou, an acclaimed TV drama director, and produced by China's producer guru Bill Kong and Ren Zhonglun, who previously collaborated on Ang Lee's "Lust, Caution."
Bill Kong said at the press conference that he hoped to raise the bar and push the Chinese crime genre film to a new level through this film.
Another "Evil Minds" adaptation feature film will come out in 2017, which is based on the first volume of the novel, and is directed by Xie Dongshen, with Liao Fan and Li Yifeng playing the leading roles.
