(Toggle) Filming for the new season of Hurry Up, Brother, the Chinese adaptation of popular Korea variety show, Running Man, has commenced but without Angelababy, the sole female member of the main cast.
The production crew released an official statement yesterday morning (Feb 14), explaining the actress’ absence from the show, “Angelababy is taking care of her little baby, we’ll be waiting for her to make a return after she fully recovers [from labour].”
It was also announced that Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat will stand in for Angelababy for the time being. The actress also welcomed Dilraba to the cast via a Weibo post yesterday, and assured fans that she will not be quitting the show as she is on a “short maternity break.”
The 27-year-old wrote: “The spirit of show will not change, we welcome Dilraba to the team. But I’ll be joining everyone later, wait for my return.”
Angelababy tied the knot with fellow actor Huang Xiao Ming in 2015 and welcomed their first child, nicknamed “Little Sponge” last month.
