Sa Dingding's new EP to Come out Soon


(CRI) Sa Dingding, a Chinese singer who was widely acknowledged in the West, recently announced her new EP will be released in the near future.

Sa Dingding said her new EP would show her continued dedication to promoting China's intangible cultural heritages.

"I am thinking hard the ways of including the intangible cultural heritages into contemporary music. I believe the promotion of intangible cultural heritages contain two parts: the protection and also exploring the elements of cultural heritages that may get a boost in the main trends of modern music.

I want to recommend a new combination to the young listeners today."

Sa Dingding made the statement at a press conference recently held in Beijing. Also on that occasion, she's renewed her contract with the Universal Music Group.

Sa Dingding first signed with the world's leading music company a decade ago, with the Universal Music Group assisting her in bringing the unique Chinese music culture to Western people.

Sa Dingding put on a series of concerts in Britain in 2008 and awed the audiences with her voice, energy and unforgettable shows.

She also won the BBC Radio 3 World Music Award in the Asia-Pacific category. In 2010, Sa Dingding toured in Europe with stops in Italy, Portugal, Germany and Spain.

One of her albums released that year called Harmony or Tian Di He in Chinese(天地合).
