Lu Zhengyv's Directorial Debut to Meet Audiences in Next January

(CRI) Lu Zhengyv(卢正雨), a loyal fan of legendary Hong Kong filmmaker Stephen Chow, has recently promoted his directorial debut The One, or Jue Shi Gao Shou ("绝世高手")in Chinese.

The film centers on a punk named Lu Xiaoyv who changes to become a man of ambition after he discovered his super skills from a number of chefs in making delicious meals.

Fan Wei, a Chinese sitcom and film actor, has a part in the film. He thinks Lu Zhengyv attends to details a lot and is very strict, which gives Fan Wei a lot of pressure.

"We have a scene taking place in a hospital, for which, we worked overnight. The next morning the director suddenly asked me to recite my long dialogue in the movie within 20 seconds. For a man over 50 years old without sleep at night, this demand is too rigid for me."

What may add to the interest of the audiences is that Chinese American actress Joan Chen and her 14-year old daughter will also act in the movie.

33-year old Lu Zhengyv is a web-film screenwriter and actor, who rose to fame after he became one of the screenwriters for Stephen Chow's 2013 film "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons".

Lu Zhengyv announced the film will hit theatres next January.
