On October 21, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía visited the parishes of Arroes, Pion and Candanal in Villaviciosa of Asturias province in order to present the "Exemplary Town of Asturias Award 2023". The jury chose Arroes, Pion and Candanal as the recipient of the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award. Arroes, Pion and Candanal are three neighboring parishes located in the council of Villaviciosa.
