On September 24, 2023, Queen Margrethe of Denmark visited Hørsholm Church on the occasion of the church's 200th anniversary. Hørsholm is a municipality in the northern part of the island of Zealand. Upon arrival at the church, the Queen was welcomed by Bishop Peter Birch. Hørsholm Church is located to the site of demolished Hirschholm Palace (Hørsholm Palace). In 1822-23 a small church designed by architect Christian Frederik Hansen was built on the grounds of the demolished palace.
