On June 27, Princess Anne attended the opening ceremony of the CHIO Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany. Britain became this year's partner country of the most important horse festival of the world about international jumping, dressage, four-in hand driving and vaulting. Princess Anne is an expert horsewoman. In 1971, she won the individual European Three-Day Event at Burghley and was nominated Sportswoman of the Year.
