Queen Maxima opened the renovated Van Gogh Village Museum in Nuenen. Van Gogh lived in Nuenen between December 1883 and November 1885 and painted about a quarter of his oeuvre there, including his first major work named The Potato Eaters. The museum focuses on the life and work of Van Gogh during this period by shedding light on the artist's life in Nuenen by means of the stories about his family, friends and models.
