Danish Queen Margrethe attended a celebratory service at the Copenhagen Synagogue

Queen Margrethe of Denmark visited The Danish Jewish Museum in Copenhagen on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Denmark's Jewish history. The Queen then attended a celebratory service at the Copenhagen Synagogue. King Christian IV of Denmark (reigned 1588-1648) officially invited Jews to settle in Denmark on 25 November 1622. Christian IV was the first Danish king to establish connections with Jews.
