On Saturday, July 9, 2022, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the 200th anniversary of the Göta Canal in Linkoping. The Göta Canal is a Swedish canal constructed in the early 19th century. The Canal is an artificial waterway that crosses southern Sweden to connect Lake Vänern with the Baltic Sea. These days, the canal is primarily used as a tourist and recreational attraction.
