On May 26, 2022, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the Discovery Centre (DISC) in Cambridge, the research and development facility of British-Swedish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company AstraZeneca. The King and Queen, are visiting the UK for 2 days with the aim of maintaining the relationship between the two countries. Their visit includes a tour of AstraZeneca's Discovery Centre as well as the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Life Sciences.
