On May 7, 2021, Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Spanish Army's Aviation Academy (ACAVIET) at Base Coronel Maté in Colmenar Viejo in Madrid. There, in a ceremony, the Queen presented the National Ensign, in its standard modality, to the Army Aviation Academy.
