On December 4, 2020, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands paid a working visit to the Regional Work Center (RWC) at the head office of the UWV (Institute for Employee Insurance) in Amsterdam. The meeting focused on the role of the RWC in guiding people, who have become or are at risk of becoming unemployed due to the Covid-19 epidemic. In June, the RWC started supporting regional SMEs that have to lay off people due to the corona crisis.
